DISCLAIMER: We will call $1 Drafts when the AWS says,"A 1/4 inch or more accumulation for that day!" We can not call $1 Drafts just because it sprinkles outside for 10mins. We will not succumb to whiny babies and bloggers. We really love pouring our home-made brews for a $1 on rainy days, however there are times when we can not do so. These times are any special event that has been pre-planned such as Unplugged In The Park, All Festivals, or any events with a pre-paid bar package. We must call $1 Drafts from the time we open until we close. Therefore, spring showers will not apply. Remember the servers motto,"When It Rains, We Be Poor!" So make it rain with those dollas'! So, we can all continue what we know and love.

Park Tavern Neighborhood Sushi Bar and Brewery is located in the heart of Midtown on the corner of 10th Street and Monroe overlooking Piedmont Park and the Midtown skyline. Park Tavern is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year and has rejuvenated its restaurant and menu for its customers and for the times. Our building was originally built in 1905 as horse stables for local racing enthusiasts and then transformed into a golf clubhouse in 1928. Although expanded and renovated over the years, the building still features some of the original woodwork and stone from the historic clubhouse. Today Park Tavern combines the historic charm of the site with the modern sophistication of Atlanta’s impressive skyline. The restaurant features handcrafted beers brewed on-site as well as spectacular patio dining overlooking the park and city. The menu features classic favorites such as burgers, salads and sandwiches as well as a full sushi bar serving a wide variety of fresh sushi rolls. Large flat screens throughout the restaurant broadcast the biggest games of the day.

Park Tavern’s relaxed atmosphere includes a restaurant and bar with dining either on our spacious patio overlooking Piedmont Park or inside our newly renovated restaurant and sushi bar. In addition to a wide variety of specialty cocktails, wines and imported and domestic beers, be sure to sample some of our Park Tavern house brews such as the Park Trail Ale and the Druid Hills Pils.

Wii games for the entire family are located in the Tavern Bar most evenings except Fridays and Saturdays.

Private event options available. Think Park Tavern for your next sporting event get-togethers, organizational and business functions, and more.

Being "green" is important to us, our community and our planet.

The Park Tavern has made many conscious efforts to be green. Therefore there are a lot of green elements used in the Park Tavern as well as used in our day-to-day operations. We eliminated the use of additional fiber products and opted for natural stone and slate floors instead of carpeting or hardwoods. Our rain collection system reuses rainwater to water our plants and landscaping. Low-flow plumbing has reduced our water consumption. Installing LEED-certified hand dryers in place of paper towels in our restrooms save thousands of trees each year! Continuing with our love of being green much of our dining space is either on our outdoor seating area or covered patio so that our guests can enjoy the natural beauty of Atlanta’s favorite park.

Park Tavern also supports the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, an environmental advocacy initiative focused on protecting the Chattahoochee River.

Parking

As of July 1st the Atlanta Beltline has contracted Lanier Parking to manage the parking lot adjacent to Park Tavern in Midtown Atlanta.  A fee will be charged to park and all fees collected will benefit the Atlanta Beltline.

The Atlanta Beltline is the most ambitious undertaking the City of Atlanta has attempted since the construction of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.  The Atlanta Beltline will transform the City’s infrastructure and the way people live, work and play.  One of the main goals is to build a trail that will connect the city’s parks and communities.  The Northeast corridor of the East Side Trail starts at Piedmont Park across the street from Park Tavern.  As supporters of the Park and our community, we at Park Tavern are very excited about the development of the trail and of the mobility that will be afforded to people who may wish to bicycle from one part of the city to another!

The fee is $3 Monday through Thursday, $5 Friday - Sunday and $10 for special events at Piedmont Park as well as Park Tavern.   The Atlanta Beltline has contracted with Lanier Parking to manage this parking lot.  The fees will fund the further development and growth of the Beltline.  Thank you for your understanding and support of The Atlanta Beltline’s East Side Trail!

EMBRACING HISTORY AND THE PARK

The original Stone Mountain granite structure of the building was built in 1905 as horse stables for local racing enthusiasts and transformed into the Men’s Club and golf clubhouse in 1928. In 1990 the building was renovated and opened as a restaurant and special events facility. The current owners, Paul and Angela Smith, purchased the building in June 1999 and renamed the restaurant Park Tavern. In 2001 Park Tavern began hosting weddings, corporate and private events in the Piedmont Room—the upstairs event space overlooking Piedmont Park. The Piedmont Garden Tent facility was added in 2004 to provide a unique outdoor garden-style venue for weddings, corporate and private events. Today, the special events team produces almost 200 weddings a year in addition to numerous corporate and social events. Park Tavern, the Piedmont Room and Piedmont Garden Tent facilities have had the honor of hosting several large fundraising events, annual festivals such as Oyster-Crawfish Festival and Lucky Day, and concerts featuring musical talents such as Bon Jovi, Collective Soul and Maroon 5.
