The Park Tavern in Piedmont Park seeks culinary and line cook professionals to join our dedicated kitchen team. Cooks will assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting meals for the restaurant and our special events menus. The Sous Chef The Sous Chef will ensure that all culinary employees maximize efficiency and productivity to achieve total guest satisfaction.
The Sous Chef oversees the banquet menu changes and education processes for all culinary and service staff. Priorities also include directing food production and plating from the pass during service, efficiently and adequately training all line cooks, and costing menus to meet or exceed the budgeted percentage. The Sous Chef will assist in fostering an educational environment to develop all culinary staff for future advancement. We are looking for a candidate with 2-5 years of culinary experience.
*Prepare all served food
*Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours
*Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions
*Follow standard recipes
*Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
*Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
*Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and appliances
*Previous experience in cooking & culinary arts
*Knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
*Strong attention to detail
*Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
*Ability to work well in teams
